Project requirements.

Thomson Reuters wanted to implement a public facing website utilising the web content management features of SharePoint server 2007. They wanted the ability to display news articles and allow editiorial control over how the content was displayed.

Workflow approval was needed to control the publishing of articles to the site and search was used to allow editors to find and display content easily.

They also wanted the ability for users to register and gain access to the site without any manual intervention or approval.

How did we help.

We developed the SharePoint solution from scratch and created a few iterations of the product until finally realsing the site into production. We utilised custom site definitons, list templates and custom WebParts to develop the solution.

We also implemented forms based authentication and self registration for the site using the standard ASP.Net membership providers.
