Project requirements.

Opta wanted an application that could take their statistical football data and allow for a post match analysis of this data with an accompanying video. The idea was to allow their real time statistics to be checked and verified after the football game has ended so they could provide clients with 100% accurate data.

How did we help.

We developed this application from scratch using Microsoft’s .Net platform which included allowing the application to record live video feeds to a compressed movie file and matching up events in the video with statistical data stored in a MySQL database. The video could be rewound, forwarded and paused using a Shuttle Xpress USB device, which allowed for easy interaction with the application. We wrote a component to interface with this device and delivered this into production.
